Dean Vipond has designed the logo for Culture Hack Day – an event taking place in London in January 2011, in association with the Royal Opera House.

It’s a weekend for the arts, software and hardware hackers to get together and create exciting things. It’s about taking all the interesting things that are hiding in some of our great arts organisations, and mixing them up in new and interesting ways – making new cultural products and sparking new relationships and ways of thinking The logo is a literal response to the nature of hack days – opening culture up – and also is a move away from the overtly geeky, DIY-style logos of previous hack days in the region.

For more information on the event, take a look at the Culture Hack Day blog, or follow Culture Hack Day on Twitter.
