Pepys Road data visualisation

I was hired by experimental storytelling agency, Storythings, to provide visual design support for an innovative digital campaign to promote the book Capital, by John Lanchester, for Faber Books (now a BBC TV series).

Pepys Road timeline

To reflect the themes of money and social mobility in the book, people are asked to provide a few details about their life, which could then be presented back to them in interesting ways, in the context of different publicly-available data. The project required an elegant, clear and engaging way of presenting different types of information, as well as a clean style for reading exclusive text written by John Lanchester himself.
